What's our goal?

The main goal of the website is to help everyone trying to get into board games, or diving deeper in the hobby. With so many board games around (more than 140,000 listed on BGG!), it can be hard to know which games are good, and which ones would be a good fit for you & your gaming group. We take the guesswork away, and provide clear, honest reviews you can trust.

Who runs Board Game Critics?

Hey, my name's Kev and I'm the face behind the site. I'm a French guy living in Paris, with a big passion for board games.
It started when I was 10, with Warhammer 40K. A few Magic the Gathering competitions & 4 Heroscape base sets later, you know I was hooked.
I would describe myself as a social gamer (see the main board game players profiles). What I like most is the experience, to play with friends, and to see them have fun.
And that's exactly why I love what I do here! Guiding others to find the right games for them, and knowing I helped more people have a great time with board games.
